GENERAL INFORMATION

"6th International Student Conference of the Balkan Physical Union" (ISCBPU-6) will be held between 21 - 24 August, 2008 in Bodrum-TURKEY. It will be jointly organized by Balkan Physical Union, Turkish Physical Society, and supported by Bodrum District Authority,  Turkish Atomic Energy Authority, Bodrum Municipality, Mugla University, Yildiz Technical University, Abant Izzet Baysal University,  Aksaray University, Rize University, Erzincan University, Harran University and Süleyman Demirel University .

The BPU-6 Student Conference belongs to a series of general physics student conferences organized under the auspices of the Balkan Physical Union (BPU). The previous conferences were organized in Izmir / Turkey (1994), Bansko / Bulgaria (1996), Cluj-Napoca / Romania (1997) and twice Bodrum / Turkey (2006 and 2007).

The conference is open to all physics undergraduate and graduate students from all the European and Balkan countries. The aim of the conference is to create a friendly and scientific atmosphere between the students. The lectures will be given, by the known physicists from Turkey and abroad, from a basic level to make the recent developments more familiar to all students. The oral and poster presentations of the students will be preferably from known or popular physics subjects. The aim of the oral and poster presentation is to encourage the students do research and practise on giving presentations.

THE LANGUAGE OF THE CONFERENCE WILL BE ENGLISH
